May 24 2018 – After an exciting round of semi-finals at the Council of State (Raad van State) in the Hague, three startups were selected for the finals. These tech startups will battle for the Legal Tech Startup Award during PLEIT2018, on the 5th of june.

The 2018 Legal Tech Startup Awards is a competition for tech startups with potential for the legal sector. During the semi-finals on May 24, seven startups from the Netherlands, Finland and Austria presented their products. A professional jury consisting of thought-leaders in the field, together with the audience, selected three startups for the finals.

The finalists

The startups that are still in the race for the award are: Schadewacht (NL), Contract Mill (FIN) and LeReTo KG (AT). They impressed with products address real pain-points in the work of legal professionals. In two weeks, these startups will pitch on the main stage at PLEIT2018.

Kaisa Kromhof of Contract Mill : ‘We are very proud to have been selected, and we are looking forward to meeting our target audience at PLEIT.’

Alex Grobbee of Schadewacht: ‘Our concept is new, but very tangible. It is great that we have been selected, and in my opinion we deserved it.’

Jasmine Fassl of LeReTo: ‘We are very happy with the visibility that this award brings us in the Netherlands and beyond. We are looking forward to the PLEIT-stage, where we can see how the Dutch audience likes our ideas.

Finals at PLEIT2018 

The finals take place on the 5th of June on the main stage of PLEIT2018. The startups will pitch their products to more than 500 visitors from the legal sector at the largest Dutch legal IT event. The winner will be determined by votes from the audience and the professional jury.
