LeReTo wins 2018 Legal Tech Startup Award
June 5 juni 2018 – PLEIT2018 was the stage for the thrilling finals of the Legal Tech startup awards. The Austrian startup LeReTo was the winner of the coveted award. LeReTo offers a legal research tool that automates legal research, thereby saving legal professionals time and money.
The Legal Tech Startup Awards is a competition for tech startups that help to innovate the legal sector. On the 5th of june, three finalists took the stage. Schadewacht (NL), Contract Mill (FIN) and LeReTo (AT) each pitched their product to the audience and to the professional jury. Over 500 legal professionals witnessed the three-minute pitches.
LeReTo CEO Veronika Haberler accepted the award with pride: “For us, this is a great price. It is not just an award, it also is a motivation to take out product to the Dutch market and introduce the Netherlands to our tool”.
President of the jury Jeroen Zweers (Kennedy Van der Laan | Sync, Dutch Legal Tech): “For the third time, the Legal Tech Startup Awards proved to be an inspiring competition. My compliments to the finalists, that presented their products with great skill. Their ideas have surely inspired the audience. Based on the stringent criteria of the jury and the votes of the audience, LeReTo was the just winner. On behalf of the entire professional jury i would like to congratulate the entire LeReTo team with their achievement”.
Claudia Heemskerk, (Lexxyn Groep, PLEIT and member of the jury): “It was a challenge to narrow the 22 entries for the awards down to a single winner. Entries came in from many countries, addressing diverse areas of legal work. LeReTo won because their product is innovative, and can be applied internationally. We are very happy with the great number of votes from the audience, that signify the growing support for Legal Tech from the legal sector”.
